I got out to Jamaica Bay this afternoon (3 PM to 5 PM) to try to locate the Barrow's Goldeneye. According to the bird log, it was last seen on the 24th. I had no luck, but came away with a fairly decent waterfowl list. The American Kestrel was perching on the telephone poles along Cross Bay Boulevard. All sightings were on the West Pond side.
