Sullivan County Audubon held its 13th annual St Valentines Day Feathered Frenzy this weekend. Six teams found a combined total of 56 species. New to this count was a Yellow-rumped Warbler and an American Pipit. Two catbirds, and a Ruby-crowned Warbler (unusual for this time of year) were also found. A pair of Woodducks made an early appearance at the Bashakill. Several Rough-legged hawks were in the area and a Northern Shrike was also seen. Scott Baldinger's team won the event with a total of 45 species. I have to say---we're already looking forward to next year! Renee Davis
