A WESTERN GREBE is currently in Prince's Bay between Sequine Point (Lemon Creek Park) and the Fishing Pier at the end of Sharrot's Avenue in Staten Island, Richmond County. It is about 300 yards off shore and should be viewable from the fishing pier.
This is undoubtedly the same bird that has been seen off and on in the NY/NJ area over the last 3-4 months. Regards, Shane B.
