BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON: New Baltimore 4/30 (4).
GOLDEN EAGLE: Albany (Normanskill Preserve) 4/30.
RED-SHOULDERED HAWK: Stanton Pond 5/3.
BONAPARTE'S GULL: Lake George 5/2 (6).
COMMON TERN: Lake George 5/2.
PURPLE MARTIN: Lake Lonely 5/2.
CAPE MAY WARBLER: Livingston 5/1.
LINCOLN'S SPARROW: Petersburgh 5/1.
ORCHARD ORIOLE: Averill Park 5/1; Livingston 5/2 (2); Vischer Ferry 5/5.
EVENING GROSBEAK: Queensbury 5/4 (4).
Most-reported species include Baltimore Oriole [21 reports],
Rose-breasted Grosbeak [20], Yellow Warbler [20], Ovenbird [18],
White-throated Sparrow [15], Gray Catbird [14], White-crowned Sparrow
[13], Eastern Phoebe [13], and House Wren [13].
Because of the volume of reports the remainder of the list consists only
of new arrivals and transients (first-time species for Birdline this
year; location omitted, number of reports in brackets).
