Hi All, Dick Belanger and I birded this morning during an incoming tide on the barrier island and totaled 4 Marbled Godwits on Cupsogue's near shore about 200 yards west of the far end of parking lot. The Godwits set down in front of us,[15 yds], and commenced feeding along with a few Turnstones and Dowitchers . Over at Pikes Beach the outer bar was just about covered so we walked out on the big spit further east and found 10 Red Knots amongst good numbers of SB Dowitcher's and Ruddy Turnstones . A group of 58 Royal Terns faced into that cool, steady, east wind. Good August Birding, Carl Starace
