Sept. 14 - At the Batavia Waste Water Treatment Plant there were: 2 Eared  
Grebes, 13 Great Egrets (one with a red band on the left leg with an easily  
readable code) 31 Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Greater Yellowlegs, 60 Northern  
Shovelers, 16 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, 27 Ruddy Ducks, and 6 Northern  Pin-tails.
 
At Strawberry Island on the Niagara River between 7:30 and 8:10 I had 12  
Great Egrets and then 10 more fly in nearly all from the south for a total of 
22  great egrets.
 
Sept. 9 -   Along the Canadian North Shore of Lake Erie  there were no 
shorebirds at Rock Point Provincial Park, but there was a Merlin  and nine 
warbler species including Northern Parula, also three species of vireo  
including 
Warbling and Philadelphia Vireo.  At the sod farm near 424  Feeder Road 
there were 5 Buff-breasted Sandpipers and 14 Black-bellied  Plovers.
