A very good day for species diversity for this park. Today's 20 species beats a previous high of 18. Two new park species were added to my list: Canada Goose (#56) & Eastern Phoebe (#57). The EASTERN PHOEBE was feeding from the lawn off the folding chairs on the Great Lawn. The 3 Canada Geese were flying high and were heading due south. The Great Lawn was active with sparrows including many WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS, 9+ SONG SPARROWS, 2+ SWAMP SPARROWS & 1 DARK-EYED JUNCO. A similar mix of warbler species from the past week continue including 1 adult male AMERICAN REDSTART, 1 OVENBIRD & 4+ COMMON YELLOWTHROATS.
