Dave Tetlow relocated 6 Eurasian Collared-Doves at the Church Road location, and also had another bird at Curtis Road (another traditional location), about two miles away as the Dove flies. So, it looks like there are at least seven in the general area. Dave is heading back to Church Road to try & get better looks at the group to see if there are any young birds.

I didn't get a good enough look to try & tell if any of these were young birds, but given the dramatic increase in numbers it seems likely that the local birds nested this year. The birds were moving around a fair bit but seemed to favor a dead tree at the end of the treeline west of the farm complex, north of the road.
