Due to my ignorance on the status of Ross's Goose, I gave the miss-impression 
that records for this species should be submitted to NYSARC.  This is in fact 
incorrect and no reports are required for this species regardless of number.  I 
was aware of the Greater White-fronted Goose status, but thought perhaps high 
numbers would be significant reason to have this documented, it is not.  In 
fact, of all the geese observed this week in Orange County, only the Barnacle 
Goose requires documentation for NYSARC.  My apologies for providing inaccurate 
information on the list serve. John Haas
