The Slaty-backed Gull relocated this morning (3/22) by Chris Newton on
Randall Road in the town of Porter lingered up till about 1:15 p.m. when it
flew off and began soaring high overhead and it glided off to the SW towards
the Lewiston Reservior/Niagara Co. Landfill (the latter of which has no
public access to my knowledge).  Nearly all features of the bird are in-line
with the sightings back on Feb. 22 at the Lewiston Reservior and March 16
again in the town of Porter and it is very probable that they all involve
the same individual. At this point in time, thoroughly checking all the gull
flocks in fields in the NW corner of Niagara Co. and at the Lewiston
Reservoir seem to be the best strategies for re-locating the bird.
