Hi everyone, In the middle of the day, an Olive-sided Flycatcher was singing in the heart of the Muttowntown Preserve, audible from trail 6C, just south of the first field directly south of the nature center. The center is accessible by turning south onto Muttowntown Lane from 25A, just west of the intersection of 25A and Rt 106. Take Muttowntown Lane through four residential blocks to its end, and take the left route into the preserve (right takes you to the Chelsea Mansion instead of the Nature Center). Muttontown didn't have any other birds of special note for the list, but it had good numbers of Veery, Blue-winged Warbler, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, and other forest/forest-edge species that are not common around Nassau County.
