Between 7:45am and 2:15pm I birded three locations in SW Suffolk county:
Sans Souci Lakes greenbelt, the nearby Islip Grange, and Bayard Cutting
Arboretum. Managed to scrape together a day-list of 16 warbler species,
including 3 BLACKBURNIANS (1 at each location) and 1 BAY-BREASTED (Sans
Souci). The latter was attracted to a water feature (running water heard,
but unseen behind a fence) in a residential backyard adjacent to the
greenbelt. Other warblers seen or heard throughout the day included:

Blue-winged
Nashville
N. Parula
Yellow
Black-throated Blue
Yellow-rumped
Black-throated Green
Pine
Blackpoll
Black & White
Redstart
Ovenbird
N. Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat

Out this way (Suffolk Co.), earlier-migrating species such as Yellow-rumped,
Parula (especially ubiquitous), Nashville, and B&W are still making up the
bulk of the total warblers detected.

Other notable species included:

Warbling Vireo
House Wren
Swainson's Thrush
Cedar Waxwing (first I've seen in months‹feeding on holly berries at BCA)
Scarlet Tanager
Swamp Sparrow
