On Friday, for 3 and i/2 hours (during parts of both waning & low tides) the
only species of terns I could find were Common (100's when I first got there ~
1130), Forster's (3) & Black.(1). The Common Loon continues.
Routed myself through Hampton Bays on my way home to Riverhead, and saw part of
the previously reported Common Raven Family (1 Adult & 2 young) at the H.B.
Water Company. They were flying between trees, and bathing in the water, which
was "pooling" on the ground, due to an open, or bypassing, water shut-off.
Cheers, Bob
