After seeing the birds reported by Corey Finger at Jones Inlet, I went to
the fishing dock/marina on Reynolds Channel, west of Loop Parkway, with Bob
Proniewicz. Two *Bridled Terns*, an adult and an immature, were close, and
seen at some length. We also saw about 5 *Wilson's Storm-Petrels*. East on
Ocean Parkway, we joined a lot of illegally parked cars opposite Tobey
Beach, and joined people on the dune overlooking the ocean. Almost
immediately, 2 *Sandwich Terns* flew close overhead, and continued toward
the bay. Police were actively restcricting access to all other points, so we
returned to Point Lookout and scanned Jones Inlet for ca. 1/2 hour, with no
success. We then returned to the fishermen's dock and saw another
adult *Bridled
Tern* (that appeared to differ from the earlier one) and a *Leach's Storm
Petrel*.
