I counted 1,594 Red-throated Loons flying westward past Robert Moses SP in 90 minutes this morning. This total greatly exceeds any I've observed previously on Long Island. I don't have time to tabulate the rest of my notes right now, but there was also an interesting mix of ducks, small gulls (nothing rare), and other waterfowl, the most notable probably being two Red-necked Grebes.
