Weather for 2-Dec for Central Park (1:51p-4:51p) < http://bit.ly/sh6efs >:
- Conditions: Clear to Overcast
- Temperature: 51.1 to 51.1 F
- Wind direction: WSW - Variable - W
- Wind speed: 4 - 12 mph (gusts to 16 mph)

The YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT continues. I saw it at 2:05p. As soon as I arrived
the bird was in the bushes at the north end of the lawn bordering 5th Ave.
just south of 42nd St. The bird was also seen by Martin in the park along
the north border garden nearer the east edge of the park. He had an
OVENBIRD and the CHAT in the same field of view. Another birder visiting
the park to see the Chat succeeded in adding a life bird to her list.

The OVENBIRD was also in the NW corner of the park near the 6th Ave. & 42nd
St. entrance. I got very close looks at the bird and noticed the crown
stripe which is normally orange is changing to the same olive coloring of
its back. The olive appears to be growing in from the front and the back of
the crown stripe. The center has a bit of orange still visible. This is the
bird, if there is more than one, that has a noticeable mark above and
behind the eye.

The LINCOLN'S SPARROW was looked for but not found. The park was more
crowded than usual and the area where it was seen on 2 different occasions
was being planted by the park workers. After the workers were done with the
planting this area was still light on sparrows.
