Two RAZORBILLS (at least) were present in Jones Inlet during the early
afternoon. From the fisherman's parking lot, looking north toward the Loop
Parkway Bridge. I became aware of their presence when one was relatively
close, and drifted behind some Red-throated Loons I had been photographing.
While pale in comparison to Razorbill numbers on the ocean out east, it was
nice to see the species close to home, and sort of right there with me in
inshore waters.

Loon numbers were good, especially Red-throated, but the Bonaparte's Gull
numbers were as paltry as a week ago (so not much to work with for its rarer
associates).
