Late this afternoon, a snowy owl was located on an island in Shinnecock Bay east of the Ponquogue Bridge. The owl was seen directly across from the end of the road that is halfway between the bridge and the fishing piers. At sunset, a short eared owl was seen briefly over the marsh one mile west of the Ponquogue Bridge.Mike Higgiston
