After a relatively quite walk at Hempstead (wood ducks and Blue wing teal highlights) I went to Oceanside Nature Area and saw my fos snowy egret, yellow crown night heron and glossy ibis. Later this afternoon I visited Cow Meadow Park in Freeport and saw my fos little blue heron on the marsh and laughing gulls over the pond. The pond also held a half dozen blue wing teal.(No Philadelphia warblers all day!) Pat Jones --
