Date: May 3, 2012 Location: Alley Pond Park, Queens The good spring migration continues. Meeting up with Sam Jannazzo and Pat Jones we had totaled almost 40 species including 16 warbler species and 5 Vireo species. The highlight were: The Warblers: Blue-winged Warbler Nashville Warbler Northern Parula Yellow Warbler Chestnut-sided Warbler Magnolia Warbler Black-throated Blue Warbler Yellow-rumped Warbler Black-throated Green Warbler Prairie Warbler Palm Warbler Black-and-white Warbler American Redstart Ovenbird Common Yellowthroat Canada Warbler The Vireos: White-eyed Vireo Yellow-throated Vireo Blue-headed Vireo Warbling Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Also numerous Scarlet Tanagers and Baltimore Orioles were seen.
