The last couple of days have been fabulous at the Forest Park waterhole. I heard of several people seeing a SUMMER TANAGER this morning. Otherwise, a lot of the common and expected less common northeastern migrants. I don't count, but I guess there were 40 or 50 warbler species. I don't know, what's normal for this time of year?
There is one problem at the waterhole, however. It ain't got no water no more. If you've been enjoying the show and you're coming to the park tomorrow, please bring some water. It doesn't have to be the expensive kind. Whatever you can afford of good old tap water will do. Needy warblers, anxious birders, and desperate photographers are depending on you.
