Date: June 30, 2012
Place: Fresh Pond, Hither Hills, Montauk

The South Fork Natural History (SOFO) birding group of 9 people saw a total
of 36 species. The highlights were the breeding warblers of this park. The
warblers seen were Yellow, Common Yellowthroat, Pine, Blue-winged,
Prairie, Redstart, Black-and-white and Ovenbird. It should be noted that
Redstart
and Ovenbird were very common. We also saw Bank Swallow and Scarlet Tanager.
