Ruffs continue on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. Both the
White-headed and Rufous Ruff (my nicknames) appear to be moving around a
lot. As a result, it is getting tougher to find them; please be patient
when looking for either birds and look carefully along the edges of the
East side on the North End, which they seem to prefer.

Reminder, based on my observations: wader/knee high boots are preferred to
bird the pond; sneakers and hiking boots are not going to cut it unless you
don't mind the East Pond mud in your shoes.

I have posted some photos of the second Ruff
here<http://birdingdude.blogspot.com/2012/07/2nd-ruff-at-jamaica-bay-wildlife-refuge.html>.
