I just got a report from Joan Quinlan who along with Greg Smith and Chuck
from PA, enjoyed good looks at the "Rufous" Ruff on the eastern side south
of North Island on the North End of the East Pond.

This is good news because this afternoon there were reports of several
birders trying and missing the bird. As I noted in my post from yesterday
the Ruff appears to have expanded his feeding range and I suspect may be
roving further south. Both ends of the East Pond should be carefully
checked.

Good shorebirding!
