The 4 AMERICAN AVOCETS returned to the North End of the East Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge and seemed comfortable feeding and resting. In addition, 1 of the 2 WILSON'S PHALAROPES returned to the North Island after both WIPH and other shorebirds were sent scattering when a Peregrine Falcon paid a visit to the pond.
Anthony Collerton, checked the South End but reported negative results on the other WIPH. Perhaps, it is tucked in somewhere else on the pond.
