Dick Veit captured what he termed "manky" photos of the bird. Two of them have been posted to the SINaturalist Yahoo group. That being said, I attempted to capture some digibin shots of the bird this evening, but was unsuccessful.

This is an excellent bird for NYS; any documentation will provide a stronger case for a report submitted to NYSARC. The bird was very active, only perching once for a few seconds, but allowed excellent views. The vireo disappeared into the creeper for about five minutes and reappeared in the dead tree before flying away from me. > > > >I will try and make it out there in the morning. > > >Good luck if you go! > > >-Mike Shanley >-- >NYSbirds-L List Info: >Welcome and Basics >Rules and Information >Subscribe, Configuration and Leave >Archives: >The Mail Archive >Surfbirds >BirdingOnThe.Net >Please submit your observations to eBird! >-- -- Christopher T.
