Hello all, Here are a few photos from the one minute appearance that the Connecticut Warbler put in for a group of birders just before noon today in Bryant Park. Pure eye-candy.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/landp/sets/72157631560184637/ Among the cropped images there are two photos in sequence that sort of shows the bird's gait. Thanks to Matthew Rymkiewicz for getting the word of the bird out, and thanks to the group of birders who spent time searching for it and was alert when it finally flew out on the lawn. While searching for the CONW I found a surprise bird in one of the planters on the North side of the lawn - a very late Louisiana Watertrush. Go figure, "the Bryant Park effect"? great city birding, Anders Peltomaa -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
