The American White Pelican continues on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife
Refuge. Just seen, south of Sanderling Point, which is the spit before "Dead
Man's Cove".
In addition, a juvenile Caspian Tern loafed with a mixed flock of gulls, also
in near an area south of Sanderling Point.
Waterfowl numbers are up but so far I have not picked up anything other than
what is to be expected this time of the year.
