When I arrived at the lake at 1:45 the pair of white pelicans were off
the water circling. They moved in the direction of playland lake
(manursing lake). When I drove to the other side of playland lake I
observed one on the water for about 5 seconds. It very shortly after
took off and was joined by the other of the pair. They headed towards
the Sound, but then circled back and headed northeast. I went back to
the pond between Manursing Way and Kirby Lane and also Kirby pond
further to the north and I was unable to locate them again.

Tom Burke called to say the 2 American White Pelicans are still
present. The lake is between Kirby Lane and Manursing Way.  {This is
