Hi all, I was watching the Hudson River from about 10:40am to 1:30pm. Highlights for me was one single Black Scoter and 5 Dunlin, all of these birds were struggling hard to fly up the river against the very strong winds.
A couple of small flocks of Canada Geese, on the other hand were setting speed records coming down the river with 30mph tail wind. Except for the two above highlight species there wasn't much activity. As the rain and winds picked up we went home, but will be back out first thing tomorrow morning. - Anders Peltomaa On Mon, Oct 29, 2012 at 11:55 AM, Matt Bango <[email protected]> wrote: > I've been watching the Hudson since around 9 AM from Jersey City and my > observations have been basically the same as Jacob's.
