So Eastern Long Islanders don't feel left out of all the postings today, a handsome male Common Redpoll spent all morning and early afternoon at my backyard feeder in East Quogue. He was in the company of a Red-breasted Nuthatch. Both birds spent most of their time on a black sunflower seed feeder. The Redpoll was also the first Life Bird for my two month old granddaughter, Kate, who was birding with me today. Happy New Year to All- Eileen Schwinn
