While out and about today I made a couple quick stops in the the Falls. Griffon Park - in addition to Canada Geese and Mallards, there were 2 Wood Ducks - both adult males.
Goat Island SP - Several duck species - Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye, Mallard, Black Duck and Gadwall - no Aythya sp. seen near Goat Island. Quite a few gulls - thousands of Ring-billed and Herring Gulls, 25+ Greater Black-backed Gulls, 1 each Iceland, Thayer's and Lesser Black-backed (the later 3 birds were seen in the rapids between Goat Island and Niagara Falls, NY). Many more gulls and ducks were in Canadian waters.
