At about 8 this morning I found a nice bright Nelson's Sparrow at the edge of the salt marsh at Cupsogue Beach County Park in Suffolk County. There was also a single male White-winged Crossbill in the pines west of the parking lot.
Yesterday closer to home I had a single Rusty Blackbird on the Brookhaven National Lab grounds, and two Common Ravens at the DEC property at Rocky Point, also Suffolk County.
