Went during high tide today and found a Whimbrel roosting with Black-bellied Plovers out on the marsh. There were a couple hundred shorebirds in total. Most were Dunlin and Black-bellied Plover. But there were also Least Sandpiper, both Yellowliegs and Willet.
For those that don't know, this is near Jamaica Bay. It is at the end of the road just before you get on the bridge to the rockaways.
