All, The unanimous consensus from several observers is that the warbler is indeed a Swainson's. I'm sure I've never seen a video of one before; perhaps others have.
BTW at 6:00 minutes into the video is a nice clip of a warbler we see more often in the greater NY City area, but seldom do we look down upon it. I know I never have. At almost exactly the five minute point on the first video, there is a warbler hopping in the leaf litter. Is that a Swainson's Warbler? Otherwise I'm stumped as to its identity. Maybe someday I'll see one at Forest Park. ;-) Bob Lewis Sleepy Hollow NY --- On Mon, 5/20/13, Cindy <[email protected]> wrote: From: Cindy <[email protected]> Date: Monday, May 20, 2013, 9:55 AM Hi all, I know this is outside our territory but a friend shared this page with me and I thought it was too good to keep to myself. Last month, there was a huge fallout of birds following a cold front on the coast of Texas. There are two videos, be sure to click on HD for the scond one (and make it full screen!). At the very bottom of the page is a link to a list of birds seen with more photo-documentation. http://www.texasbirdimages.com/home/2013-fallout---cameron-county Enjoy!
