Tom Burke and I enjoyed a nice congregation of well over 100 Sooty Shearwaters from Pike's Beach and off Cupsogue in Westhampton Dunes this afternoon from 4 o'clock on. Also seen were two sightings of Manx Shearwater, a Parasitic Jaeger, and numerous Northern Gannets. Additional Sooty Shearwaters were present off Shinnecock Inlet. This followed a morning flight off Robert Moses SP field 2 that included a few Sooty Shearwaters and about 8 Parasitic Jaegers and a couple of Roseate Terns seen with Shai Mitra, Patricia Lindsay and Steve Walter.
