Yesterday afternoon on the rising tide at Cupsogue CP an adult breeding plumaged Sandwich Tern visited the flats for 20 minutes until all the birds flushed, the tern not returning. Shai Mitra later found a first-year Arctic Tern for us. Sea watching was relatively unproductive, with only a couple of Corey's Shearwaters early and Manx Shearwater off Cupsogue very late in the day. Gail Benson and Tom Burke
