Spent the morning at Plum Beach in Brooklyn (FYI the parking lot is still
closed post Sandy). Nothing particularly unusual but 2 sparring juvenile Green
Herons, an adult andjuvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron and a very obliging
juvenile Seaside Sparrow
provided some enjoyable moments. There were not a lot of shorebirds despite the
extensive tidal flats but variety was pretty good with 12 species represented.
