A group of 8 juncos arrived at Pruyn Sanctuary in Chappaqua late this
afternoon. Not seen or heard earlier in the day during morning birding walk.

*Croton Point County Park yesterday am & early aft:*
*  70+ (conservatively) yellow-rumped warblers including 50+ feeding on red
cedar fruit on tree below campground area
* 50+ palm warblers (also conservatively estimated)
* 1 field sparrow feeding with house sparrows by main pavilion
* 1 white-crowned sparrow and 3 swamp sparrows along with increased numbers
of white-throats in the brush along road up to the nature center
* 2 kestrels hunting on the landfill
* a peregrine flyover mid-day over the model airplane field
*
*
*Croton boat ramp at low tide yesterday morning*:
* a lesser yellowlegs actively feeding
* an adult bald eagle on a log in the mudflats below St Augustine's Church
was feeding on the remains of an unidentified duck.
