Date: Oct. 16, 2013 The NYC Audubon Wednesday birding group recorded 41 species in a birdie Central Park. The highlights were 6 warbler species (Yel-rumps, Palm, Parula, BT Blue, Ovenbird, Cape May), 5 duck species (Wood, Mallard, Green-winged Teal, N.Shoveler, Galwall- all found in Turtle Pond), RT Hummingbird. Many Sapsuckers were drilling wells and keeping the warblers happy. Numbers of White-throated Sparrows were very high with Chipping, Swamp and Song also seen. Best Joe Giunta --
