Just 3 days until 2013 Xmas Bird Count (8am South Pumphouse Reservoir) 12/12/13 Thursday Ringed-Neck Duck continues at Reservoir, SW section around 11-12, still tucked in Mary Kelly was circling the Reservoir again to try to pick up Common Merganser she did see yesterday. In weather like this, underwater is warmer than above water, so most likely she missed it trying to avoid slipping on the ice while scanning and exercising. She doesn't have a computer to make a report but if anyone is out tomorrow, keep the above in mind.
