While observing harbor seals at Cupsogue Beach County Park around 9 AM on Friday, 12/13/13 , I observed about 50 Northern Gannets feeding in Moriches Bay near the seal haul-out area. In 8 years of seal observation and photo-identification at the site and over 160 trips, I'd never seen gannets diving feeding in the bay.
