Hi all, I looked for the Varied Thrush yesterday (12/19/2014) from 11-11:45 am without any luck. Another birder showed up and was waiting around so I figured someone would post something yes/no.
I checked the area near the Oval Study this morning (12/20/2014) and adjacent areas from 9-9:30 am this morning without seeing the bird. Two other birders were present before I got there and did not have it either. I did see a song sparrow and fox sparrow (in addition to the juncos and white-throated sparrows) but no Varied Thrush. Maybe my timing was just unlucky or maybe the Varied Thrush is still around in some nearby area (hopefully someone else with more time can re-find it!).
