Even though these sightings occurred a long time ago, it would be great to get them reported to NYSARC so they become part of that historical record. If you go to http://nybirds.org/NYSARC/RecordsSummary.htm and click on Black Guillemot, you’ll see all the reports submitted to NYSARC for the species, with links to the NYSARC reports in which the sightings are discussed.
