This morning I saw the Red-necked Grebe reported by Anders Peltomaa yesterday,
in the water directly behind the IKEA in Red Hook, splitting its time on either
side of a long concrete pier, with two cranes at its end, that extends away
from a large, three-sided IKEA sign. There were also a few Horned Grebes in the
area, as well as some Red-breasted Mergansers, Buffleheads, Coot, Gadwalls, and
Brandt.
