The previously reported red necked grebe was still present in the Erie
Basin off Red Hook, Brooklyn today at noon. It was visible at some distance
(scope best) from the waterfront walkway west of the IKEA ferry landing.
The bird was fishing / diving towards the end of the abandoned and derelict
multi-story pier (the old sugar factory), near the NY Water Taxi boat slips.

Good luck if you go!
