This morning I observed 20 Pectoral Sandpipers feeding on the exposed flats in
Sunken Meadow Creek. They were located just west of the entrance bridge where
there's a small path that leads to the edge of the water.

What urged my visit was an alert from Dave Lamagna who discovered 7 Pectoral
Sandpipers at this same location on 4/2. There was also an eBird report from
Phil Uruburu on 4/3 where he reported 9. So the flock has grown considerably
since yesterday.

There certainly appears to be some great shorebird habitat developing since the
opening of the spillway.

Best,
