In a rather unusual sighting this afternoon, I was in the parking lot between the YMCA and Briarcliff College (just south of Patchogue Lake) and saw a breeding plumage Laughing Gull tempting fate by getting within a foot of a Canada Goose that is nesting in the parking lot median.
