Hi all, At around 1:30pm, after having met a birder who said he had seen the Yellow-throated Warbler earlier, Brian Padden and my self connected with the Yellow-throated Warbler in the area immediately south of Tavern on the Green. I wish I knew the name of the birder who told us, so I could give credit, but neither Brian or I recognized him.
I spent about 5 hours in the park this morning and it was quite birdy as Joe and Phil have already described. I tallied 12 warbler species, all of which were mentioned in the earlier reports. The only species I can add is Great-crested Flycatcher. Plus, of course the warbler above. (sorry for the late report, but the battery in my phone died in the field) good birding after the deluge, Anders Peltomaa Manhattan -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
