The immature WHITE-FACED IBIS was present on the eastern end of Captree Island
marsh, north of Captree Island Road, between 12:50 and 1:10 this afternoon. It
then flew out with 2 Glossy Ibis, heading southwest. It fed in the marsh first
to the west and then to the east of the first pullout on the north side of the
road (just past the Captree Island sign). It fed with varying numbers of Glossy
Ibis most of the time, and briefly alone after flying a short distance to the
east. The previously documented field marks were all well seen. Other notable
sightings/hearings included Little Blue Heron (2), Clapper Rail, Seaside
Sparrow, and Semipalmated Sandpiper. Good luck with the ibis if you try for it.
